“all men are monsters” is just as much of a lie as “you should be fulfilled by relationships with men” I know the former feels true a lot of the time and has more capacity to be true in this world but it’s not
why does redemption for abusers describe them returning to their jobs, putting them right back in the positions of power they abused, with no concern for what that means symbolically or practically? when it should mean: redistribute all your money, pay for all the damage you caused (the years of lost jobs, the therapy) and then drop off the face of the earth
